The order isn’t the same twice a day. Wrong stack wastes the bottle.

Morning — protect
Gentle cleanse → toner → antioxidant (vitamin C if you tolerate it) → lotion or cream → SPF.
Sunscreen is the step. Clouds don’t cancel UV.

Night — put something back
Take off SPF / makeup → gentle cleanse → toner → the treatment you actually mean (retinoid, brightening, whatever you can keep using) → eye cream if you use one → cream to seal.

When the face is loud
Subtract. Cleanse, moisturize, SPF. Nothing else until it quiets down. More layers is not more care.

Don’t buy the logo. Buy what your face can wear.

Dry
Water in, then seal. Cream morning and night. A drop of oil if it still pulls. Morning can be water only — don’t wash off the film you still have.

Oily
Light lotion or gel-cream. Skip the winter jar in July. Clay once in a while is fine. Daily stripping is how you get shinier.

Sensitive
Fewer bottles. No alcohol, no perfume, no “tingle means it’s working.” Ceramide, centella. Barrier first.

Acne-prone
Clean, then stop stacking. Heavy oils sit in pores. Salicylic or azelaic on the spots — not a full-face acid parade.
