Hydro Boost is the blue-jar water gel everyone already knows. Hyaluronic acid, oil-free, that tight “plump” feel. About $20–30. Fine. Here’s the cheaper one that actually sits in the same slot: iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream, around $16.
They’re not twins. Hydro Boost is hydration first. iUNIK is hydration plus calm.
The original
Water gel, HA, goes on a little milky then disappears. Not sticky. Works on dry, oily, sensitive. This version has fragrance (there’s a fragrance-free one if that bothers you).
The dupe
72% centella leaf water, some tea tree water, still oil-free. Transparent gel. Very light. A bit tacky for a minute, then it settles. Better if your thing is redness, not just tightness.

Where they split
- Hydro Boost: more “juicy,” slightly richer.
- iUNIK: thinner, more soothing ingredients, slightly sticky at first.
- Both can do a full day without looking greasy.
- iUNIK costs less and does an extra job Hydro Boost doesn’t really try to do.
If you only want water in the skin, stay with Hydro Boost. If the face runs hot or marks easily, try iUNIK first. Don’t expect the same smell or the same jar.
