I thought I just had bad skin
Sensitive, flushes for nothing, cheeks peel and pull. Years of that. Worse at season change, or bouncing between AC and outdoor heat. Tried a pile of products. Nothing really stuck.
Started Curel moisturizer as the last step, morning and night. Expected hydration, that’s it. Week two: cheeks flushed less. Foundation stopped catching on dry patches. About a month in, the face got quieter. Season change and a bad night didn’t set everything off.
Then I looked it up. Not “born with bad skin.” Ceramides leaking, barrier thinning, dry-sensitive as the default. Curel’s job is putting some of that back so the wall holds. I stopped buying a new bottle every week.
Barrier first. The rest is optional.
