The bottle I finish
Clarins Double Serum. First “real” serum I saved for in college. First purchase hurt. Now I repurchase before the last pump. Talked three coworkers into it. Can’t name one miracle. Just haven’t found a stand-in.
People fear the oil half. Combo-dry: it doesn’t sit. Water-in-oil. Warm in the palms, press. Not a film — the face feels softer from underneath. A boyfriend who notices nothing said my face felt soft. That’s the review.
Friend: you must be sleeping. I’m not. Deadline at 5 a.m., two thick pumps, expected a wreck. Woke up clear, not wax-yellow.

It isn’t a rescue mask. It’s the quiet kind. Season change used to flush my cheeks; foundation used to catch at the nose and mouth. Neither, lately. Skip a week and you feel the gap.
Two pumps. Warm, press, don’t rub, don’t tap. Neck too. Dry and combo-dry can use it without thinking. Oily: winter is fine; summer, one pump.

It’s expensive. A set on sale is how I justify it. Still the only serum I empty. A cheap shelf of half-used bottles costs more.
